Brody is perfectly cast as Carter Webb, an adult-film writer who leaves L.A. to stay with his wacky Grandma only to be drawn into the lives of the many women across the street. As Carter struggles to reconcile his own inner conflicts, he is drawn into the pains and loves of the Hardwicke women, all of whom, the mother, the teenager and the little girl, change his life forever. Written and directed by first-time scribe Jon Kasdan, this tale of compassion and forgiveness is filled with heart and humor.
