Horror-master and bestselling author Clive Barker's (Hellraiser) short story, gets "opened up" for the screen in this bone-chilling film adaptation. In a bid for a potential art gallery showcase, Manhattan photographer Leon Kauffman (Bradley Cooper of TV's Alias) goes underground, literally, as he clicks away in the subterranean world of the New York City Subway System. But his plea for recognition turns into a nightmare when he witnesses the bloody carnage left behind by Mahogany (Vinnie Jones), a sadistic maniac stalking the subways in search of fresh meat. Stylishly shot, and with a supporting cast that includes Leslie Bibb, Brooke Shields, and Roger Bart, this one will get under your skin folks. Special Features include, featurettes, trailers and more.

Rotten: Japanese director Ryuhei Kitamura, who kicked off his career with 2000's impressive micro-budget zombie flick Versus, delivers plenty of stylish visuals and an admirably unrestrained attitude to gore.
-Phelim O'Neill, Guardian [UK], October 31, 2008Fresh: Unfairly buried by its distributors in the US, this film takes what could have been a drab set-up and gives it some real bravado, energy and creativity.
-Jim Hall, Film4, October 30, 2008Fresh: The film hurtles towards the final 'revelation moment' like runaway train. If only it had stopped to take on board some of Barker's heavy mythical dread.
-Nigel Floyd, Time Out, October 30, 2008Rotten: We hate to side with the big bad studio, but The Midnight Meat Train -- despite a great title -- really does stink like month-old human flesh.
