When a group of medical students stage a practical joke on a hospital janitor, a catastrophe results when the man ends up in a coma. Suddenly struck with a wave of guilt, one of the conscience-stricken interns attempts to bring him back to life using a serum he has created as an experiment. But, like a modern-day Frankenstein monster, the victim's brain short-circuits, creating an unexplained link between his abnormal mind and the minds of the young medical pupils who created this tragic mess.

Reviews Counted: 13
Rotten: A very ordinary, conventional, by-the-numbers creepfest without any dark spark.
-Peter Bradshaw, Guardian [UK], July 03, 2009Rotten: 'Shrooms' director Paddy Breathnach still hasn't the foggiest idea of how to make a horror.
-Nigel Floyd, Time Out, July 03, 2009Rotten: A derivative and titter-inducingly weak slasher movie.
-Kevin Maher, Times [UK], July 03, 2009Fresh: Paddy Breathnach's second horror outing plays much like his first, mixing genres and influences into a heady cocktail - although this time around the flavours may no longer satisfy the jaded palate.
-Anton Bitel, Film4, June 26, 2009
