One of Tracy’s most endearing comic performances as the proud papa of lovely bride-to-be Taylor. Bennett is a perfect foil as his wife. Classy comedy with a superb cast at their best under Vincente Minnelli’s assured direction. Leo G. Carroll is a riot as a condescending caterer.
