Fresh: Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey is some sort of great film, and an unforgettable endeavor. Technically and imaginatively, what he put into it is staggering.
-Penelope Gilliatt, New Yorker, January 14, 2013Fresh: Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey is one of the greatest films of all time and it is the director's most profound and confounding exploration of humanity's relationship to technology, violence, sexuality and social structures.
-Thomas Caldwell, Cinema Autopsy, June 03, 2011Fresh: Prepare to be dazzled.
-, Film4, October 02, 2007Fresh: The film's projections of the cold war and antiquated product placements may look quaint now, but the poetry is as hard-edged and full of wonder as ever.

This film should be run continuously on a museum wall! It's breathtaking cinematography and gorgeous musical soundtrack will leave you stunned.
Kubrick's only lifetime Oscar was for the special effects on this film and they have been a benchmark for all space movies since. You'll be scratching your head and saying, "How did they do THAT!"
Although many found the plot difficult to understand, this is the kind of science fiction movie that, with it's enigmatic mystery, goes way beyond most movies of the genre. A must see for any fan of TRUE science fiction.
I absolutly loved it.
