“How come nobody’s ever tried to be a superhero?”

When Dave Lizowski—ordinary New York teenager and rabid comic book geek—dons a green and yellow internet-bought wetsuit to become the no-nonsense vigilante, Kick-Ass, he soon finds an answer to his own question: because it hurts.

However, he’s not the only superhero out there. The fearless and highly trained father-daughter crime-fighting duo, Big Daddy and Hit Girl have been slowly but surely taking down the criminal empire of local Mafioso Frank D’Amico. And as Kick-Ass gets drawn into their no-holds-barred world of bullets and bloodletting with Frank’s son, Chris, now reborn as Kick-Ass’s arch-nemesis, Red Mist, the stage is set for a final showdown between the forces of good and evil—in which the DIY hero will have to live up to his name, or die trying....

This blistering, brutal and brilliant mix of black comedy and dazzling action-adventure is one of the most outrageous and audacious movies to hit the screen in years!

TOP CRITICS'S REVIEWS

Fresh: Most of the lessons in Kick-Ass are juvenile, but Lordy are they stylishly told.

-Laremy Legel, Film.com, May 06, 2011

Fresh: Kick Ass is about as exciting as movies get. Not just because it is a (mostly) anarchic splatter-fest that celebrates (nay, encourages) acts of ridiculous violence, but also the fact that it was made completely outside of the studio system.

-Simon Miraudo, Quickflix, October 21, 2010

Rotten: I found it mighty painful sitting through all the bone crushing and blood-letting.

-Peter Rainer, Christian Science Monitor, April 23, 2010

Rotten: When filmmakers nudge a child into viewing savagery as slapstick, are we not allowing them to do what we condemn in the pornographer -- that is, to coarsen and inflame?

-Anthony Lane, New Yorker, April 19, 2010

Hitgirl rules!
October 08, 2010

Look out Hitgirl. She stills the movie and she is sexy and hot. Love it, can't wait for the sequel.
