New decade. New rules.
The wait is over. Director Wes Craven delivers a nerve-jangling sequel with original stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox Arquette, as well as Scream newcomers Emma Roberts (The Winning Season), Hayden Panettiere (TV's Heroes), Marielle Jaffe, Rory Culkin (Lymelife), Nico Tortorella, Erik Knudsen, Marley Shelton, Anthony Anderson, Adam Brody, Alison Brie, Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica), Anna Paquin (Open House), Kristen Bell (Burlesque) and Brittany Roberts.
Sidney Prescott (Campbell), now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey (Arquette) and Gale (Cox), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (McDonnell). Unfortunately, Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.

Fresh: Welcome to the one of the best fourth parts of a horror franchise ever made.
-Catherine Bray, Film4, April 18, 2011Fresh: Scream 4 is fun, but more clever-clever than fiendishly ingenious.
-Philip French, Guardian [UK], April 17, 2011Rotten: Scream's brand of horror, which lampooned the slasher genre while simultaneously embracing it, was fun and breezy in 1996. In 2011, it's about as fresh as the whiff of something stale and rank from a crypt.
-James Berardinelli, ReelViews, April 17, 2011Rotten: If this proves to be the last in the series, it's a bloody shame it ended not with a Scream but a whimper.
-David Hughes, Empire Magazine, April 15, 2011
I would say it is a very good movie, but I would love to see more fan attention to it. What I mean is, it sould have received more attention at the theaters.
