An edge-of-your-seat action thriller from director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy).
Three teenaged boys are lured to the town of Cooper’s Dell with the promise of a party. But instead of enjoying the night of their dreams, the teens are plunged into the nightmarish world of Pastor Abin Cooper and the Five Points Trinity, a fundamentalist group with a stockpile of weaponry and a deadly moral agenda.
When word of the teens’ disappearance reaches the authorities, a military task force is mobilized. With Cooper’s Dell teetering between salvation and damnation, the ATF braces for a furious gun battle with Cooper and his heavily armed followers in this fever-pitched action thriller from writer-director Kevin Smith.
Special Features include audio commentary with Kevin Smith, deleted scenes with introduction by Kevin Smith, a documentary: The Making of Red State and more.

Rotten: Calculated to outrage and executed to underwhelm, Kevin Smith's Red State is like a dull blade slashing wildly, predictably and ineffectually at its target.
-Justin Chang, Variety, December 13, 2011Fresh: It's a charming if conspicuously unfinished film, a half-riotous, half-idiotic send-up of the teen horror genre with a vaguely hip political twist.
-Andrew O'Hehir, Salon.com, October 20, 2011Rotten: Kevin Smith fans will be curious about Red State, but few others will be able to endure its tub-thumping attempts at topicality or its lack of storytelling skill.
-Jim Schembri, The Age (Australia), October 18, 2011Fresh: Red State indicates a new level of boldness in Smith, resulting in his best film to date.
-Thomas Caldwell, Cinema Autopsy, October 16, 2011
