Vengeance returns.
Kate Beckinsale, star of the first two Underworld films, returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.
The stunning cast also includes Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, India Eisley and Charles Dance.

Fresh: A swift, brutal, and thoroughly competent actioner that doesn't balk at a bit of bloodletting. Arriving between parts one and two of Twilight's interminable swan song Breaking Dawn, nothing could be more welcome.
-Simon Miraudo, Quickflix, January 29, 2012Rotten: More creature feature than vampire movie, this fourth edition of Underworld tries to emulate the stylistics of Len Wiseman's 2004 original, with Wiseman leading the writing team
-Andrew L. Urban, Urban Cinefile, January 28, 2012Fresh: Once again, Beckinsale brings an impressive physicality and subzero cool to her portrayal of Selene.
-Joe Leydon, Variety, January 23, 2012Fresh: Kate Beckinsale's "Selene" remains one-note, but it's a wildly entertaining note.

I do not think this underworld version stood up to the set standard of the first two movies. I am however a fan of kate Beckinsale. So seeing her helped keep my interest.
